So just in case anyone ever visits the blog I thought I'd let you know that we heard from the dis-organisers of the Timbuktu Rally. The money raised from the auctions has come back. From cars making it to Bamako 29.676.000 CFA was raised.
In english money that is £34,096.
Not that there is a competition but our Monsta managed to raise 1,250,000 CFA (£1,436)the most out of all of the cars that made it. Bizarrely beating Discoveries and Troopers younger than ours..
I think it must have been down to the added extras like the jerry can holders. So thanks again Martin for those!
